Rev. Dr. John Kitur is a distinguished Kenyan scholar, educator, and Christian leader specializing in educational leadership and theological education. He currently serves as a Lecturer and Programme Leader in the Education Department at Africa International University, where he plays a pivotal role in training and mentoring future educators.
Dr. Kitur holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Leadership and Management from Kabarak University. He also earned a Master of Divinity in Christian Education from Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology and a Bachelor of Theology from Kenya Highlands University. His academic formation reflects a deep commitment to integrating faith, education, and leadership.
At Africa International University, Dr. Kitur is actively involved in curriculum development, teacher education, and academic mentorship. He teaches courses in pedagogy, including Education Media and Micro Teaching, and supervises research projects that contribute to the advancement of education in both Christian and secular contexts. In addition, he serves as a member of the University Senate, contributing to institutional governance, academic policy formulation, and quality assurance.
